About Us
Tullaghan Bay Rowing Club was established in 2013 at the shoreline of “The Ferry” at Tullaghan Bay. The annual Cruinniu Na Mbad (Gathering of the Boats), where the local Fishermen and Community, organise and compete in a long-standing racing event, embraced the possibility of taking the traditional sport one step further. From that moment, the club has accelerated and explored all possibilities and opportunities to embrace the sport of Rowing. Uniquely to most clubs in the country, the club maintains 3 key areas of the sport, Traditional Currach Racing, Indoor Erg Activities, and recently has introduced Coastal Rowing. There is something in this club for everyone, and it thrives on maintaining its tradition, but not afraid to progress and challenge into the future.
